[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
- Hi User:GeneralNotability, what triggered this to be placed on my talk page? I try to only make small edits to a variety of different pages. In fact, I don't think I've added anything that somebody would want to pay for. I'd like to continue editing Wikipedia but this warning is obviously very intimidating and I'd like to avoid it in the future. Bekkadn (talk) 14:23, 5 November 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
I understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements, though I do not fall under them. I am not being paid to make these edits. I would like to know what triggered this block as I edit A LOT of pages and chat with a lot of different editors. This seemed rather random. I am not causing any disruption therefore its unnecessary to block my account. Bekkadn (talk) 14:22, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
Decline reason:
It seems that you have something to do with another account or accounts, but you do not address that in this request. 331dot (talk) 08:53, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- 331Dot I am not involved with other accounts, I thought that was implied in my last response. I just want to keep making edits to pages, I genuinely enjoy it so this is upsetting when I have no connection to these other accounts you're referencing. Am I able to submit another unblock appeal? Bekkadn (talk) 14:02, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, you may make another unblock request, for another administrator to review. 331dot (talk) 14:28, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

Request reason:
I'm not sure why these editors have a bias against me at this point, but I want to continue editing Wikipedia pages with my account regardless. Can somebody give my account an unbiased look?Bekkadn (talk) 10:51 am, 1 December 2020, Tuesday (13 days ago) (UTC−6)
Accept reason:
Edit has accepted a conditional unblock to refrain from editing articles about currently active companies/organizations, biographies of living people, or content in other articles that discusses the activities of such people or groups. These restrictions can be appealed either directly to me or at WP:AN after a reasonable amount of time has passed.

- Rosguill, I'll email you. If you aren't convinced by the pattern I see, you may unblock at your discretion without objection from me. GeneralNotability (talk) 19:04, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, having reviewed the evidence provided by GeneralNotability, I do have some concerns that this account may be tied to paid editing, but no single smoking gun. Given the situation, I'm willing to unblock on the condition that you refrain from editing articles about currently active companies/organizations, biographies of living people, or content in other articles that discusses the activities of such people or groups. This will allow you to continue contributing productively to the hundreds of thousands of articles that do not fall under these categories, while minimizing the chances for abuse. Please indicate whether you are willing to accept these conditions. signed, Rosguill talk 20:46, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
- I really appreciate your help in this, I'm happy to edit articles outside of companies and biographies. I accept these conditions. Bekkadn (talk) 15:01, 15 December 2020 (UTC)

My apologies on the erroneous rollback, I thought twinkle will rollback BigMama130469's changes as well and my fault in not making sure. I have since fully reverted BigMama130469's changes. Thanks --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 03:48, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
